WILD52RCD RED color – Wilwood Dual Piston Calipers & Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors – Set – 2 piece Left & Right. Comes with pads, caliper pins, sleeves these are loaded calipers and cross drilled and slotted rotors. There is NO core – these are all brand new parts, They come complete with the correct D52 semi-metallic glued and riveted pads (only one on the market) caliper pins, sleeves, pad clips, bleeders. Everything you need to upgrade and install. They have the correct banjo bolt size of 7/16-20 (not metric like others on the market). This is a replacement aftermarket caliper made with dual pistons out of aluminum, Then powder coated red or black. They install in a couple of hours. These will replace any GM front disc brake caliper that uses D52 Brake pads & 5560 Front ROTOR – this is most of the cars and trucks from the 60′ to the 90’s. One other thing to check is is is for all rotors cross drilled or stock that are about 1″ thick or to be exact 1.040″ thick. Also all cars and trucks from 1967-78 used the standard 7/16-20 thread banjo bolt and anything 79 and newer used a metric bolt 10mmx1.5 – these calipers are the older 7/16-20 thread. 1964-72 GM-A body Chevelle, GTO, 442, GS, 67-69 F-body Camaro / Firebird, 68-74 X-body Nova , Ventura, Omega, Apollo, Front Disc Brake Caliper Rotors. This is a matched pair – there is a Right and Left Side. Also used on 64-74 Conversions, These are cross drilled and slotted pattern as the picture showes. These will also fit all cars that have converted to disc brakes using the standard GM caliper that has the D52 pad – which is pictured in the photo. So if you have converted you 55-57 chevy, 58-68 chevy, 64-68 Chevelle, GTO, 442, GS or 67-69 Camaro / Firebird or 64-74 Nova ventura to disc brakes you can swap these calipers onto your setup. They are a direct bolt on to most disc brake conversions using the standard d52 caliper. Wilwood’s D52 Front Caliper Kit is a direct bolt-on 2 piston replacement for the factory original single calipers on many 1968-96 GM Passenger Vehicles and Trucks. Forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competition style high-temperature seals put an end to the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that plague the OE caliper design. D52 calipers provide low-maintenance performance and a huge weight savings with high temperature reliability for the street and track. D52 calipers mount in the stock location over stock rotors, use the original style OE D52 brake pads and an OE 7/16-20 banjo bolt brake line mounting. Calipers can be used with most wheels that clear the OE calipers. The front calipers with 2.00 piston provide 6.28 square inches of piston area per caliper, in order to maintain the original front to rear brake bias and use of the OE master cylinder. Kits contain Wilwood’s hardened slide pins and BP-10 high friction pads. Matching rear calipers are also available for custom installations. Wilwood’s D154 forged billet aluminum caliper is a direct bolt-on, lightweight, high-strength, extreme duty alternative to the OE cast iron calipers that were used on a wide range of factory disc brake equipped mid-size GM cars and small trucks beginning in 1978. Use of this caliper can still be found on some GM models as late as 2002. The wide spread and affordable availability of D154 calipers and brake pad compounds also made it a popular choice in a number of restricted class competition categories and drum to disc conversions on all types of hot rods and street machines. The D154 GM Metric replacement caliper was designed using computer generated 3D modeling and FEA stress analysis technology and have been configured to mount in the stock location with included OE type slide-pins to position over the rotor. This caliper design features a stress-flow forged billet aluminum body that provides a substantial weight savings over the original cast iron caliper, without any of the rust and corrosion issues that are common to cast iron parts. Stress flow forging realigns the internal grain structure of the metal within the contour of the caliper body to create a caliper that is superior in strength to any cast or machined from block billet caliper design. There simply is no better way to build an aluminum caliper with more strength or less weight. The D154 calipers utilize stainless steel pistons. Stainless pistons are used to resist corrosion and retard heat transfer from the pads into the caliper body. High temperature, square faced bore seals are used to provide controlled piston retraction and reliable performance from the wider sealing face. This combination of components is a proven performer with long service life and a history of reliable performance in any type of driving environment, including extreme sustained high temperature racing applications. The caliper slide pin holes are fitted with dampening rings to minimize noise from vibration. The caliper is also fitted with bleed screws on both ends to facilitate mounting in any left hand or right hand, front leading mount, or rear trailing mount locations. The caliper inlet port is threaded for use with a M10 x 1.5 banjo bolt or a line adapter using crush washers as a seal. The OE rubber lines can be used from any vehicle equipped with a M10 x 1.5 banjo. Smooth engagement with consistent response from a flat-torque curve throughout its entire effective temperature range. Good low to middle temperature wear rates. Beds quickly and provides fast response without excessive abrasion on vented-iron rotors.
