Disc Brake Conversion Lower Set. Comes with Spindle, Caliper Bracket, Backing Plate, Cross Drilled & Slotted rotors, Loaded Calipers, Pads, Hoses, Dust Caps and other Hardware, bearings seals, banjo bolts. All parts are based off the factory originals and fit just like the factory originals. What makes our kits different from the rest is all parts are factory and you have all the parts to complete the job. We give you the correct brake hose required for the existing frame bracket – without them – good luck getting the brake hoses to work. We also give you the correct rotor spindle cover and pads that are carbon metallic no the cheap ones. Our calipers are Standard thread not cheap metric and powder coated black. If 15 years from now one of the parts wear out you can swap with any factory original part or an auto parts store part and it all fits together. The other guys kit is a mash of parts to get the job done but not specific to any car. Wilwood’s D52 Front Caliper Kit is a direct bolt-on 2 piston replacement for the factory original single calipers on many 1968-96 GM Passenger Vehicles and Trucks. Forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and competition style high-temperature seals put an end to the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that plague the OE caliper design. D52 calipers provide low-maintenance performance and a huge weight savings with high temperature reliability for the street and track. D52 calipers mount in the stock location over stock rotors, use the original style OE D52 brake pads and an OE 7/16-20 banjo bolt brake line mounting. Calipers can be used with most wheels that clear the OE calipers. The front calipers with 2.00 piston provide 6.28 square inches of piston area per caliper, in order to maintain the original front to rear brake bias and use of the OE master cylinder. Kits contain Wilwood’s hardened slide pins and BP-10 high friction pads. Matching rear calipers are also available for custom installations. Vehicles 1978 & Up (with M10-1.5 banjo bolts) will require new brake lines available below. We have the highest quality parts in the market place period.. Cross drilled holes help keep the rotors cooler by ventilating air through the product. Diamond slots improve the brakes system performance by wiping away the debris of used friction material. It also helps prevent the brakes pads from glazing and improves initial brakes response under wet conditions. Please be advised that when you first receive the rotors, they will be completely zinc plated. After the initial break-in procedure where the pads come in contact with the rotor, the zinc will wear off, leaving the hat and inner vane structure silver. When you first receive your order they will be completely black. The drilled/slotted brake rotors can with silver, black, or gold zinc plating. The plain non drilled or slotted blank rotors do not come with zinc plating. The zinc coating on the brake surface will rub off after the initial bed-in period. The braking surface, the cross drills holes and/or slots if applicable can develop surface rust over time, depending on weather, climate, driving conditions, or left parked for a long extended period. Please be aware that zinc plating aide against rust but not prevent rust indefinitely. The report must include information and/or test results that prove the rotor(s) to be at warped.
